1. Sydney – LifeArt (www.lifeart.com.au), an Australian company manufacturing environmentally friendly coffins, makes it possible to personalize your own casket. Using its HP Scitex FB500 printer, LifeArt prints a design onto 10-mm Xanita board, a recycled and formaldehyde-free substrate. Custom images have ranged from family photos to Australian landscapes.

2. Las Vegas – The Neon Museum (www.neonmuseum.org) in Sin City recently extended its tour hours into the night so that multicolor spotlights aimed onto its collection of more than 150 signs could give tourists the sensation the signs were once again lighting up the Strip – some signs have even been fully restored with new bulbs. Iconic signs that are back to life in the Neon Boneyard include the Silver Slipper, Aladdin's lamp, and the Stardust marquee.

3. Peru – As a way to attract socially minded engineering students for the 2013 school year, the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC, www.uet.edu.pk) with the help of Draftfcb (www.draftfcb.com), a global advertising agency network, created the world’s first billboard that actually produces water. Located in Lima, Peru – a city situated in the middle of a desert, resulting in almost no annual rainfall and limited fresh, clean water – the billboard transforms the air’s humidity into 100 liters of pure, drinkable water every day.
