Amazys/GretagMacbeth Will Acquire Graphic Intelligence Agency

Will form core of new Professional Services business unit

The Amazys Group, whose holdings include GretagMacbeth, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Akron, OH-based Graphic Intelligence Agency (GIA), the color service and support company. Upon completion of the transaction, expected within the next 30 days, GIA will become the nucleus of a new Professional Services business unit for the company. GIA currently provides hotline support for GretagMacbeth products in the US.

“We must continue our progress in delivering easy-to-use solutions with a world-class set of interactive customer-service and support options that make the user experience exceptionally positive,” says Tom Vacchiano, president and CEO of Amazys Holding AG, headquarterd in Regensdorf, Switzerland. “The Graphic Intelligence Agency and GretagMacbeth, in combination with our color-consultant community around the world, can best make this happen.”
