Alcan Introduces Structa-Board

Alcan has combined the best features of its Fome-Cor and Gatorfoam to make its Structa-Board, a new intermediate category of foam-centered boards. Structa-Board incorporates an extruded polystyrene core that is denser than Fome-Cor and lightweight man-made wood fiber veneer facers that offer the strength and rigidity of Gatorfoam’s dent- and scratch-resistant surface.

Designed for multiyear usage as P-O-P, interior signage, and exhibits, Structa-Board can be die-cut, knife-cut, sawed, and routed; it can be digitally printed, as well as screen printed and painted. With a bright-white facer and black polystyrene interior, it comes in 48 x 96-in. boards that are 3/16-in. thick (5-mm); cut-to-order sizes up to 96 x 120-in. are also available.
