AGL Launches Auto Trim 3 Cutter

Automatic cutter and sheeter eliminates manual trimming.

Advanced Greig Laminators (AGL) has released the Auto Trim 3, an inline automatic web trimmer and sheeter designed to eliminate manual trimming of laminated sheet production runs. Capabilities include flush edge, sealed edge, and bleed edge trimming, as well as a program to trim step and repeat sheets.

Using a through-beam fiber optic sensor, the Auto Trim 3 can detect the leading and trailing edges of individual laminated sheets. The sheets are then positioned to an operator-determined point in space and cut. An optional Graphics Registration package allows the new machine to trim individual sheets out of continuous rolls of printed media.

The Auto Trim 3 features a self-sharpening rotary blade and is available in 27-, 38-, 50- and 63-in. cutting widths. Operating speeds range from 25-50 feet per minute, depending on individual sheet sizes.
