Agfa Graphics to Hold Chicago-area Wide-Format and Packaging Open House

Agfa Graphics will hold an open house event focusing on wide-format printing and packaging, at its Bloomingdale, Illinois demo facility, Wednesday, November 9 and Thursday, November 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no charge to attend.

Various digital inkjet printing systems will be demonstrated, including engines from Agfa Graphics, HP, and Epson. Attendees can also learn about Agfa Graphics' inks, substrates, and other production technologies associated with inkjet printing, the company reports, such as finishing systems, color-management tools, Web portals, and job-estimating software. And attendees can garner practical information from Agfa's experts on ways to improve production levels and overcome printing challenges.

The packaging area will feature demos of various systems and packaging-specific tools, including DuPont Cyrel FAST plate making and mounting on JM Meaford mounters. The team will demonstrate Flexo Wash cleaning equipment and the latest technologies and instruments for plate measurement and analysis from Beta Flex.

• Anapurna Mw (wide-format inkjet with white ink)
• Cyrel 1000TD (plate processor)
• Esko CDI (flexo plate and film imager)
• Flexo Wash PW45 (plate wash system)
• JM Heaford ELS (narrow web video plate mounting system)
• OKI proColor 510DW (digital color web press)
