Adobe PDF Print Engine Version 6

Engineered to deliver high print quality, maximize efficiency, and increase automation.

Adobe has announced the release of Adobe PDF Print Engine 6 with features engineered to deliver high print quality, maximize efficiency, and increase automation. Updates include:

Single-stage, high-performance color conversions for efficient and precise output to printers running orange and/or green and/or violet inks plus CMYK process inks;
Spectral module to process spectrally defined spot colors for accurate corporate brand colors;
New image resampling algorithm for generating optimized color values for derived pixels when resizing an image;
Ability for users to manage and automate post-press and inline embellishments and nongraphic elements;
Enhanced support for Variable Data Print (VDP) and scalable variable product print workflows.
