As part of Avery Dennison North America’s national Give Back to Schools program, the company gifted the Adolph S. Ochs School & Academy in New York City with $125,000 worth of school supplies, and set a Guinness World Record doing so—donating more than 8500 pounds of supplies in a 24-hour period, which shattered the previous record of 1102 pounds and 5 ounces.

To establish the record, students from the school lined up at 9:00 a.m. one August morning to stuff the donated school supplies into a full-sized, wrapped school bus. SkinzWraps (www.skinzwraps.com) in Brooklyn produced the wrap, with its Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 printer, onto Avery Graphics new MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS film with DOL 1060 Gloss overlaminate. SkinzWraps also executed the installation.

Avery’s Give Back to Schools program was created in celebration of the company's 75th anniversary as a way to give back to the communities that have made the company's success possible. The program will provide 10 US schools with Avery premium school supplies.
